Aishwarya turns deadly

Word has it that Aishwarya Rai the feline beauty of Bollywood will get a chance to bare her claws in Ram Gopal Verma's upcoming film Sarkar 2. The film which goes on the floors this month is said to see Ash play the role of the daughter in law in the Nagre household. She is said to have an important role in the sequel. In this part, Abhishek Bachchan's character takes over the mantle of family head, while his aged and feeble dad played by Amitabh Bachchan keeps himself to the house.

In the film we see Ash's character evolve from the daughter-in-law to the matriarch in the family. Her character masterminds strategies to retain the family's monopoly in the underworld. In times of family crisis, it is she who calls the shots.

A source from the production house says, "Aishwarya's character holds a lot of importance in the sequel. Big B's character will be reduced to being a helpless old man, the new godfather. Abhishek, along with his wife, will run the business. Aishwarya will be seen as a shrewd woman." It is further said that Ash won't play a completely evil character as she loves her family and shows her ruthless side when someone challenges them.

Unlike some of her previous glamorous avatars, Ash is said to don minimal make-up in the film.
