Dita Von Teese's Growing Bank Account

Widely credited as single-handedly reviving the dying art of burlesque, the always-interesting Dita Von Teese was the center of attention at the Be Cointreauversial event in New York City on Tuesday (April 22).

Held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, the 35-year-old dancer gave a short product pitch to onlookers, saying: "For me, Cointreau is a quintessentially French brand, a product which transcends fashions and trends. I love its delicate taste contrasting with its strong personality."

And Cointreau is just one of the many moneymakers for Dita, who earned more than $2 million last year.

"But that's not to say it's been champagne all the way," Dita tells of her currently bright financial position, adding, "It hasn't been easy. In 1993 I was working in a bar full of truckers - and I must have looked like an alien to them."
