Fear of Insecurity of my boss
Hi everyone,
I am today quite perturbed with my boss's behaviour and this is leading me to vent my anger here in this fora....
Simultaneously, this situation is asking me to check out with others what they feel about this issue and whether they have come across such a thing.... Ok, let me first tell you what is the issue....
My boss is very peculiar type of person. He is almost sort of afraid of me whenever we both need to see his boss. Most of the times, hew wont let me speak in front of big boss. Even big boss is putting a question direct to me, but I have to keep quite.... else it is big problem... whenever I talk to biggy, my boss thinkws that I am trying to bypass him. I have , on many occasions , tried my best to convince him that there is no sucg thing between us called competion, but he would not listen...
This is now taking a toll on my working and i am now thinking to quit... but next moment I think... Why should I quit...with no fault of mine... even biggy has tried to speak to both of us separately on this issue...but to no avail... Can you all there help me out in this situation and suggest some remedial action.....
Thanks....

You are right.... Why should you quit, your boss is the one who feels insecure thats why he is behaving this way. You should play manuplated game with him Try to be cool with him Make him look stupid infront of big boss. Dont give him any of your ideas.
Good Luck!!!!!!

Dear Rummy, What u are mentioning is almost a common scenario in today's professional era, so if u quit your present change it may happened that in other place again u find the modified expanded/upgraded version of your current boss and for you only place changed but situation remains the same.
So my advise for u is that u have to handle the situation tactfully, I mean apply diplomacy, Whenever your big boss directly dealing with u , take your immediate boss in confidence and maintain transparency in your attitude/working style. And forget about competition, b-coz no one can compare/compete with knowledge and caliber.
But never think to quit/change the job only for mis-tuning with boss, try to develop friendly relation with boss, discuss any issue related to function and create friendly/healthy working environment which help you to reduce the distance between you and your boss.
Secondly the main reason for the "In-security" of your boss is "Direct dealing of your Big-boss with u" so when ever your big boss called you . later on u discuss the " high light" of your discussion with B.Boss with your immediate boss so that he feels that you are not trying to hide any thing with him.

Re: Fear of Insecurity of my boss
If you have answerd something to your big boss you needs to let your boss know at the same time about that. Your boss will be the key of your success. Try to protect your boss and let him know that your work is according to his/her plannings. But...... if he is disloyal with the employer..expose him then and there this will work for you.But if he isn't allways try to follow him.
