You can use attachment option in mail to attach images in group mail...
By Group Description u mean Group Home Page ... If u r group owner than just press edit button on home page of group and add colorful description using HTML language
What do u mean by bbc?

Nope i don't think bbcode is applicatble in yahoo group settings
