Kathal Curry (Vegetarian)

Ingredients:

* Oil to cook
* 5-6 Cloves
* 3 medium Onion
* 1-2 Green Chillies
* 1 tsp Cumin seeds
* 2 sticks Cinnamon
* 4 medium Tomatoes
* 1 tbsp Garam Masala
* 2-3 Black Cardamom
* 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
* 8-10 Black Peppercorn
* Salt and Pepper to taste
* 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
* 1 tbsp Coriander powder
* 2 cups Jackfruit, peeled and chopped


Method:

1. In a blender make a puree of onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or wok.
3. Fry the jack fruit pieces or 3-4 minutes and set aside.
4. In the oil put cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, black cardamom, and peppercorns. Give them several seconds to sizzle then add the puree.
5. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
6. Stir and add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder. Add salt and chilli powder as per taste.
7. Cook for another 20 minutes.
8. Add 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil.
9. Lower the heat to medium and add the jackfruit cook another 15 minutes.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.



Tip: Clean Vegetables & make them germ free by adding some salt or vinegar drops while washing them.
