Maria Sharapova unveiled the new Canon PowerShot Diamond Collection at Pier 17

She's used to tearing up the tennis court, but last night Maria Sharapova had quite a different gig - promoting the new Canon PowerShot Diamond Collection of cameras.

The #6 female tennis player in the world (who opted out of representing her home country of Russia in the 2008 Summer Olympics) looked hot as she struck a pose for the paparazzi at Manhattan's South Street Seaport.

As part of the promotion, Canon has unveiled five diamond-studded PowerShot SD 1100 IS Digital ELPH that they're giving away on their website. The cameras are valued at $12,000 each.

And if you happen to be in the Big Apple today (August 21), be sure to stop by the Canon Center Court at the South Street Seaport to post for a picture with Miss Sharapova.
