What Fropki has achieved?
We get about 22301 backlinks this year. DMOZ Listing was truly a gr8 achievement. Google Page Rank 3 this year. Current World Ranking for Fropki according to Alexa 7400 (its too less just b'coz our old Server Provider really provide us with very bad services.) We lost two very good Moderators this year – Hemant & Piyusha; due to their other engagement. Shova & Abhilasha as moderators r finding of this year.

What to write more … Its really tricky question for me...I'll write What we have done during this year?

Started this year with a high note...cruising along with a high rate of traffic… gr8 interactivity… gr8 mod team… and gr8 revenue ratio… We change our server on Jan 6 and purchase a Harper town… Everything was going good... but in Feb first problem came from Internet Service Provider… few Internet Backbone (SME3, SME4 & Flag) cut by anchor of a Ship in Mediterranean Sea. About 15 days we have virtually no traffic at all…

And when the problem is resolved we had another issue… TTL time for Fropki has increased from 150 to 380-400, hence slow fropki and hence less revenue… After few days we find out that the problem was with APF firewall and our Server provider was not able to resolve it.. so they removed APF and installed CSF but it doesn't resolve the issue as well… and after 5 month of diagnose we find out that our Server provider cheated us. He changed our dedicated server to Virtual Private server. Hence all those problems… We lost around 400 user in every 15 minutes due to this VPS for about 6 month.

In the meantime in first week of April 2008, we have upgraded out php bulletin board software 2 to 3. It has lots of new features . But one major feature missing no post in HTML. (We still have so many post in HTML which we r still editing so that they can work).

On April 1, 2008 Fropki.com has officially been a Registered as a Firm. Too much legal work involved. For a change we did things on paper for a change.

In July or August, I don't remember exact month, we got a phone call claiming for copyright and to escape from legal procedures we have removed Babies Wallpaper section completely from Fropki.

In September our fropki Databse Forum Table has been hacked by some intruder...fropki was down for about 3 days.. thanks for Saurabh Genius Idea we r able to restore our all the data... (All bcoz we have only a software firewall on a vps. It was basically a DDOS SYN Attack)

In September...We found who is the best dedicated server provider in the world... the two names came out

Rackspace (The Very Best in Business)
Fastservers (Second Best in Business)

Initially we talked to rackspace and find their solutions really cool but the problem is they r not assisting us in migration process + their proposal is good but only with 1 year contract. Fastservers was ready for migration and offer was month to month basis. We find it suitable for us. We purchased server with hardware firewall this time.
And now Fropki getting 150% traffic increase without even doing a single new advertisement.

On Nov 3,2008 our Adsense Ads was not showing… and we found out that our adsense ads was temporarily disabled by adsense team bcoz of some prick had complaint about Fropki sending him email without his permission. After so many of correspondence we got out ad back on 7 Nov and sorted out that this thing will never happen in future again.

In Nov, We lost our 1 day post and registered user due to My silly mistake... as i was working and feeling sleepy and clicked on wrong button... Sorry guys for ur precious post...

But at the end of year on 19th Dec again 3 Internet Cable again cut in by anchor of a Ship in Mediterranean Sea, again too less traffic. This problem will resolve till Jan 5, 2009 hopefully (finger crossed).
