Ghosts and shadow people
evade our sight.
None may not see what they might.
We begin our door to door Halloween flight.
Not knowing our immediate plight
we bravely approach your door and RING……



TRICK OR TREAT!! We say with a strong and mighty grin.
Candy and little toys we hope to gain
from this daring plan imagined in these little brains.
BOOOOO!! We are greeted as a scary hand
extends to our goodie sacks.
The lights go black, we stagger back!!
Screams explode, others jump!!
Dogs howl and unfriendly things give us a bump.



It’s Halloween! The voice screams as
we dump out our goodie sacks and run.

So keep the goodies and
BOOOOOOOOO! To you!

Finally Halloween night is over... and Its was a huge disappointment for me...
This was my first halloween in US .. and I was expecting a great weekend , kids coming to my door doing "trick-or-treat" .. I didn't decorate the house, didn't dress up (call me lazy) .. but yeah, I made sure that I have plenty of candies, chocolates for the Kids .. Went to the candy shop and bought lots of them ... It was around 7:30 PM in the market and I saw groups of teenagers dressed up and planning for something scary .. When I reached my apartment, my eyes were looking for kids.. I waited, It was 9, then 10, then 11.. nobody knocked.. ..

One thing that I noticed , all desis were out .. who awakes till midnight, were asleep or out even at this time.. no idea, whether they were saving money, or just didn't want to celebrate halloween .. Finally, I am left with all chocolates worth $40 now ...

Well, leave these all.. sabki khabar sunayi jaaye... hope everyone is doing good..

jab mere jaise lazy busy person yaha par reply kar sakte hai, to baki sabse to ummeed kar hi sakta hu .. ..

Holidays are fun with family and friends only, as you found out Even with families, they are a drag at times, yikes!
Candies and Chocolates---take it to work in the morning, and it's guaranteed to be gone before lunch--better their teeth, than your own
I suppose blame it on the neighborhood---maybe not many children around, plus I think since the malls started participating, more kids may get their fill there
The best Halloween I remember is sneaking out and rolling folks' yard with toilet paper, then being scared stiff, running and hiding from the police officer
Hey Pu, do they trick or treat in London? I shudder to think what your neighborly kids had for you

No problem Hemant, take candies to India for someone who likes chocolates (you know who)
May be Trick or Treater were not allowed in your building, security reasons.
