Ford Mustang Bullitt

Ford Motor will unveil the latest version of the retro-styled Mustang Bullitt at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt, an update of the iconic1968 pony car driven by Steve McQueen in the movie "Bullitt," goes on sale in January next year.

The interior of Mustang Bullitt is understated and features charcoal black leather and satin aluminium trim. It has satin aluminium bezels around the air vents and gauges, a satin aluminium shift ball, and aluminium pedals covers. Like the exterior, the interior is graphically clean with only the Mustang logo and gun-sight graphic on the centre of the leather steering wheel and Bullitt metal sill plates.

This is the second time Ford has produced a "Bullitt" Mustang. The first was produced in 2001 after Ford received an overwhelming positive response from consumers who first saw a concept version of the car at 2000 LA auto show. The Bullitt is powered by a 5 litre, V8 engine which churns power of 315 bhp. According to the company, Ford will produce 7,700 Bullitts only.

Smart forTwo

The perfect adjective to describe this car is cute. Designed primarily for urban use in European cities, where parking is scarce and fuel economy is of great importance. The Smart forTwo's length of only 8 feet allows as many as three such vehicles to be parked in the space normally taken by one standard-length car.

The new Smart forTwo has different eyes, projection headlamps. These are not only unique in this vehicle, they also give the Smart a face that is more technical and grown-up. In addition, the indicators are integrated in the headlights. The new Smart forTwo is longer as compared to the first generation model, yet it still has extremely compact dimensions.

The front overhang is 72 millimetres longer, the wheelbase has increased by 55 millimetres and the rear overhang is 68 millimetres longer. The designers have succeeded in retaining the Smart forTwo's typical silhouette whilst giving the car a more masculine character. Clarity and modernity continue to play a decisive role in the shape of the vehicle.

Providing adequate passenger safety was a challenge to the designers. To solve this and to provide a rigid frame, a solid steel "Tridion" frame, left visible at the exterior as a major design element, completely surrounds and protects the passenger compartment, and defines the basic shape of the car as well.

In order to make maximum use of the minimal crumple zone at the front, the Smart Fortwo has its engine positioned at the rear of the vehicle. The SmartforTwo is powered by 0.8 litre engine, churning out a power of 40 bhp @ 4200 rpm, and a torque of 100 Nm @ 1800-280 rpm.

Lamborgini Reventon

The Lamborghini Reventon is a supercar that was launched at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Lamborghini Reventon has been entirely designed in SantङAgata Bolognese, the birthplace of Lamborghini and the native home of every supercar born under the sign of the bull. Although it is based on the extraordinarily successful Murciृlago LP640, the exterior design of the Reventon is completely new. The front is characterised by the acute angle of the central 'arrow' and by the powerful forward-facing air intakes.

With the Reventon, the Centro Stile designers have coherently developed this philosophy, inspired by a sphere, where speed and dynamism reign absolute: modern aeronautics - responsible for the fastest and most agile airplanes in the world. This has created an extremely precise and technically striking style with a new vitality: interrupted lines and contorted surfaces create a fascinating play of light, giving the car incredible movement.

The Reventon is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini till date, costing one million euros. Built largely of carbon fibre, the v12 engine's 650 horsepower can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds.
