Sexiest beauties at LA

It has been rightly said that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and the beholder will be spoilt for choice at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. This year end auto show attracts almost all the major Automobile Manufacturers from around the world as they showcase their latest and the best creations.

Many of the designs are downright outlandish but there are many that simply take the breath away. A lot of these cars can be termed as rolling sculptures. These cars are highly Aerodynamic, have striking lines, extreme engineering and performances to match the look and price.

These gorgeous cars cover considerable exhibit space in the show and here we bring you a compilation of some of the most beautiful and definitely head turning cars that are on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Jaguar XF

The Jaguar XF is almost identical to the Jaguar C-XF (concept) which was showcased at the North American International Auto Show earlier this year. Other than larger headlights, the Jaguar XF has the same dual beam design as well as the large grille opening and floating Jaguar badge as they had appeared in the concept car.

The slim taillights at the back are red instead of clear, but the overall shape still mimics the C-XF. This car also has traditional door handles, smaller exhaust tips and a slightly taller greenhouse, but these are the kinds of changes one would expect going from concept to production.

The headlights, instead of the sleek daggers of the concept, are inserted with a round element right into the middle of that dagger. This Jaguar has taken styling cues from the classic Jaguars of the 1960s and Ian Callum, the design director for Jaguar, has given the FX a rather sporty car.

In keeping with its ultra modern look and sophisticated features, Jaguar has worked with Apple for control interfaces. On the inside, the XF features electronic goodies such as the all-new JaguarDrive Selector, which "rises into the palm of the hand, while rotating vents turn from their flush, 'parked' position to their functional open position.

XF features a 5L V8 engine which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.2 secs. The top speed can be electronically manipulated to 250 kmph.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia This eye catching vehicle is an upgraded version of the Ferrari F430 and has an increased power of 20 bhp over the Ferrari F430. The F430 Scuderia's ultra-sporty character and blistering performance have led to the redesign of many of its exterior and interior styling features.

The aerodynamic efficiency of the newly-styled rear diffuser has been enhanced by the addition of a revised profile for the spoiler at the rear of the engine cover. The look and the aerodynamic efficiency are also enhanced by the large venturis that run from the front wheel houses to the rear bumpers, achieving the patented "Base Bleed" effect developed by Ferrari. The cabin has been inspired by racing and, like in most other Ferrari cars, the emphasis has been on weight reduction and using technical materials where ever possible.

The 5L, V 8 engine develops a power output of 510 bhp and has a torque level of 548 Nm. The Scuderia features a lot of F1 technology, including the lightning quick 60 millisecond shifts and an integrated traction and stability control system. The car was officially unveiled by former F1 race driver Michael Schumacher at Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year.

The Scuderia, which is lighter than the standard F430 but with an increase engine output, is aimed to compete with cars like the Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Gallorado.

Nissan GT-R

Unveiled by Nissan at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, the GT-R was designed as an all-new model and inspired by the 2005 GT-R Proto concept car.

The design is characterized by aggressive and highly aerodynamic lines. Compared to the GT-R Proto, the only significant styling difference - apart from small details - is at the front of the car. The changes have been carried out to meet superior crash test norms.

The design of the new Nissan GT-R is based on two simple ideas: to realize exceptional performance and continuation of the original design heritage. The cockpit offers the optimum layout for the driver. The kink in the rear pillar is highly distinctive and helps rear airflow which gives the car a really unusual roof line.

The Nissan GT-R is an All Wheel Drive (AWD) car and is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4 litre, V6 engine. With a power output of 473 bhp, the GT-R accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in approximately 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 320 kmph.

Lotus Elise SC

Lotus Elise SC is a roadster manufactured by Lotus Cars. The car has a hand-crafted fibreglass body shell atop its aluminium extrusion and bonded frame that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum.

The car has a unique rear spoiler and alloy wheel design. The Lotus Elise SC has a full leather or micro fibre suede-effect interior with leather handbrake gaiter.

The SC has a new bespoke wheel design with the rear having increased half an inch in width to 8.0 inches from the standard Lotus specific Yokohama AD07 LTS 225/45 R17 tyres. The new tyre specification gives the car an even better road grip that enhances performance by a few folds.

Capable of achieving a top speed of 240 kmph, Elise is a 2-door, 2-passenger convertible sports car. The Elise is equipped with a 1.8 litre, 4-cylinder, 220 bhp engine, that accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds.
