Post Tips For Taking Care of Your Skin

The skin is the most important part of your body when it comes to appearance. It is the skin which takes all the environmental attacks on your body and protects the underlying tissue from any effects. Be it cold weather or hot sun it is the skin that protects you from the negative effects of all these. You definitely need to take care of your skin and make it look good for a longer period of time.

The sun can be very damaging to the skin. That is the reason the skin care physicians ask you to apply sunscreen to protect yourself from the UVA and UVB rays which are present in the sun. It is these rays which cause the damage to skin and can cause skin cancer too. If you have been led to believe that on cloudy days there is no damage to the skin then it is purely a misconception. The clouds do not protect you from the harmful affects of the UV rays. Sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher is the answer.

Skin becomes dry and freckled when exposed to sun and also it gets those brown spots. A lot of people get red colored spots when the body is exposed to sun. If you are a beach lover then make sure that you take adequate protection from the sun rays as water reflects the rays more strongly than others and it can cause permanent damage to the skin.

Smoking is injurious to health is a known fact but it causes the skin also to lose its sheen. In fact cigarette is supposed to the number one factor which causes the skin to age faster. Smoking causes dryness and wrinkles to appear on the skin. The reason being that it is the vitamin C which is the source of moisture in the body and while smoking this vitamin gets depleted causing the skin to dry. In fact passive smokers also face the ire because of the fact that the exposure to smoke causes damage to the skin cells leading to dryness and increased amount of wrinkles.

Moisture is what can protect the skin from increased amount of sun exposure and dryness. That said you can do two things first is drink as much water as you can during the day. Water increases moisture in the body as well as removes unwanted salts from the body via urination. You can take the help of moistening creams to protect your skin.
