Use of running Trains to generate power

This is just a question in my mind !!
Can we overcome the power crisis of its production / distribution / billing / maint etc by doing following , especially in india - rural remote areas ,

Use of the trains running between north to south and east to west throughout the contry .

The train wheels while running , will charge the batteries , and , say after 100 / 50 kms of running , they deliver those charged batteries to the station and upload the uncharge quota for further charging and delivering to next. and this can be done by both up and down trains and obvously will not have any extra cost as the loading and unloading of these batteries can be mechanically done on various stations.

If a particular station has receved twice the quota required , it may be arranged / sent to another needy place.

These batteries can be placed between two boggies so as to make it easy to unload / load them.

or is there any other means to convert the motivation in the energy for mankind.
